Is counseling necessary?

Sometimes people wonder if they “really” need therapy.  Our answer to that is that it certainly can’t hurt.  You may come in and discover that you’ll be fine on your own.  In that case you spent a little extra money and you’ll have opened up one more place you can turn to for help if you ever need it. The alternative, however, is not as benign: if you are really in need of support and decide to delay it a little longer, you may be causing yourself a lot of extra heartache.
